HVAC/R: The HVAC/R Certification Program with BPI provides students with the technical and practical knowledge and skills to perform heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration maintenance, assist with installations, and repairs. Students will also learn basic skills related to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Graduates of this program will be able to hold positions with construction companies, as well as residential and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning companies.

     The EPA exam is divided into the following sections:

  • Type 1: to service small household appliances. 

  • Type 2: for maintenance and elimination of high and very high pressure systems..​

  • Type 3: for maintenance and elimination of low pressure systems.

  • Universal – For all types of equipment

 

    Our program prepares students for the following entry-level positions:

The Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Certification Program prepares students with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop efficient, safety-conscious technicians who will be able to fill an entry-level position in the field heating, ventilation and air conditioning. In addition, they will acquire the necessary skills to carry out installation, service and repair tasks in heating, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. This program is designed to prepare graduates to take Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certifications.
